Getting started

• Allow access to your Photos library when asked. Panosphera then sorts out the 360° photos, 360° videos and panoramas from the rest of your library on its own.
• The Library filter shows 360° items and panoramas by default. Choose "All media" from the view options to see everything.
• In the viewer, drag to look around, or move your phone. Pinch to zoom. Double-tap to re-centre.

Guided clips

• Open a 360° photo or video, tap Share, then Smart Pan Guided Clip. Panosphera finds the people and points of interest and pans between them. Auto-Pan turns steadily instead; Record lets you look around yourself while it plays.
• Pick the shape (9:16, 1:1 or 16:9), the length and the direction, then Render. Watch the preview, then Share, Adjust or Discard.
• Share This View exports the part of a 360° photo you are looking at as a flat photo.

Captions

Captions appear on 360° videos that contain speech, transcribed on the device. The CC button hides or shows them. The first use downloads a language model from Apple; after that it works offline.

Common questions

• A 360° photo shows as flat. Panosphera reads the spherical metadata cameras write and also recognises 2:1 images. Photos that have been re-saved by another app can lose their metadata; if the image is 2:1 it will still open as a sphere.
• Music stopped when a video played. Videos with sound take the audio route, as any video player does. Muted videos and the rest of the app leave your music alone.
• Where do exported clips go? To the share sheet. Save to Photos, Files, Messages or any app that accepts video.
